Why you should watch the X-factor
You wouldn't normally catch me advocating watching the manipulative circus of human tragedy that is the X-Factor but this year the UK Hip Hop heads have someone to root for. Last night in amongst the usual collection of Jacko impersonators, tone-deaf dish washers and Celine Dion wannabes was Foreign Beggars collaborator and Mama Said member, Graziella. It'll be a couple of weeks before you get to use up your free text message allowance rabbidly voting for her but I have no idea how long it'll be before ITV viewers get to see her spit a verse like this one.
In the mean time you can catch more of her brand of Hip Hop soul over at Miss Pink's blog where Mama Said vinyl spinner DJ IQ previews some of their new material.

New Foreign Beggars
That disparate crew of like minded misfits have been working on their new record 'United Colours of Beggarttron' while the rest of us were sunning our hides this summer. Here's a sneak preview of what to expect. Link courtesy of UK Hip Hop peddler Disorda.
Bonus material: Orifice and Metropolis get down with Hydroactive for the BBC at Maida Vale, earlier this year.
